Built for Business

Asbestos Removal That Works Around You

Pre-2000 commercial buildings — offices, retail units, schools, care homes, leisure facilities — are among the most likely to contain asbestos. Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, commercial property owners and occupiers have a legal duty to manage asbestos risks. When removal is the right course of action, it must be planned and executed without putting staff, customers, or the business's reputation at risk. Our commercial teams work evenings, weekends, and phased programmes — so your premises are ready when your team walks in each morning.

  • Out-of-hours and weekend working to protect business operations
  • Phased works programmes to keep sections of the building in use
  • Full HSE licence for high-risk licensed materials including AIB and lagging
  • Pre-works refurbishment and demolition surveys to locate all ACMs
  • Full waste disposal documentation and clearance certificates provided

Commercial emergencies cannot wait. We can mobilise within 24–48 hours for urgent asbestos situations, with a full assessment on arrival and works commencing the same day where possible.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need to close the building during commercial asbestos removal?
Not necessarily. For licensed works, the immediate removal area must be isolated and sealed with a negative pressure enclosure, but the rest of the building can often remain operational. For non-licensed removal such as asbestos cement sheets or floor tiles, other areas of the building typically remain accessible throughout. We assess each project individually and design a programme that keeps as much of your building in use as possible.
How quickly can commercial asbestos removal work begin?
For non-licensed works, we can often mobilise within 24–48 hours of instruction. Licensed works require a mandatory 14-day notification to the HSE before work can legally commence — this is a legal requirement that cannot be shortened. If a refurbishment survey hasn't been done yet, this typically takes 1–3 days and can be arranged concurrently with the notification period.
Do you handle all the waste disposal and documentation?
Yes — we handle all aspects of licensed waste disposal including packaging, labelling, transportation in a licensed vehicle, and disposal at an approved hazardous waste facility. You receive consignment notes and waste transfer documentation as part of your project pack, which you are legally required to retain for at least three years.
