Full-Process Service • Survey to Clearance

Asbestos Abatement

Asbestos abatement covers the complete process — from survey and sampling through safe containment, removal, air quality monitoring, and clearance certification. We manage the full programme so you don't have to coordinate multiple contractors.

What Abatement Means

What Does Asbestos Abatement Actually Mean?

Abatement is the comprehensive term for the full asbestos management and removal cycle. It encompasses every stage: identifying ACMs, assessing risk, containment or removal, safe disposal, air quality testing, and issuing clearance certificates. Rather than piecemeal management, abatement is a structured, compliant programme — typically required for renovation, demolition, or complex residential and commercial projects where multiple ACMs are present.

  • Inspection and risk assessment
  • Management or refurbishment/demolition survey
  • Sampling and UKAS laboratory analysis
  • Encapsulation of lower-risk materials where appropriate
  • Safe removal of higher-risk and licensed materials
  • Air quality monitoring throughout
  • Clearance certification and full documentation
  • Full compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012

Why Choose Us

One Programme. One Team. Complete Resolution.

Single-Point Management

We coordinate every stage of the abatement programme in sequence. One team, one contact, one invoice — no juggling multiple contractors or gaps between survey, removal and clearance.

Licensed & Non-Licensed

Our team handles both non-licensed and HSE-licensed materials. Whatever the survey finds, we can proceed without bringing in additional contractors.

Air Quality Throughout

Where required, we conduct air monitoring throughout the programme — giving you a complete air quality record for the full duration of works, not just at final clearance.

Full Documentation Pack

On completion you receive a full pack: survey reports, lab certificates, method statements, waste consignment notes, air quality results and clearance certificates.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between removal and abatement?
Removal refers to extracting a specific material. Abatement describes the full multi-stage programme — identification, assessment, containment or removal, monitoring, and clearance. Abatement is the right approach for buildings pre-renovation or pre-demolition where multiple ACMs are likely.
How long does asbestos abatement take?
It depends entirely on the scale. A single residential survey and removal can be completed in a day. A full commercial pre-demolition abatement programme may take several weeks, including the mandatory 14-day HSE notification period for licensed materials.
Do I need abatement before a renovation?
If your property was built before 2000, a refurbishment and demolition survey is required before structural work begins. Any ACMs identified must be removed before your builders can safely proceed. We provide both the survey and the removal.
